Most of the studio is handmade. It’s a small space, so I needed to make the best possible use of square every inch. Most of the shelving and trims are natural waxed wood finishes, and the counters are poly or resin coated. After having plumbing installed in the room I designed and built a cabinet for the shampoo sink on a hinge attached to the wall with a flip top. This doubles as additional counter space when the sink is not in use and swings out to meet the reclining salon chair for shampoo and hair color services.
