Before Your Appointment…
Hair Color
Prepare your hair.
For a color service it is best to avoid shampooing for 48-72 hours before your appointment. The natural oils from your scalp will help protect the hair and skin and shampooing can cause micro-tears in the scalp making it more sensitive to irritants like oxidative color and lightener.
If you are coming in for a haircut you do not need to wash your hair in advance of your appointment. The studio is equipped with a shampoo sink, and everyone deserves to get a good scalp massage!
Please avoid vigorous brushing or brushing your scalp for 24 hours prior to your appointment to avoid scalp irritation.
Clothing.
Please avoid wearing the following to your appointment:
collared shirts or turtle necks - these can interfere with the natural fall of your hair and cause unevenness in your haircut. shirts that rise above the collar area are also difficult to avoid getting wet at the shampoo bowl.
your favorite shirt, pants, etc should be avoided if you are coming in for a color appointment. Us stylists do our best to avoid getting color product anywhere it doesn’t belong, but accidents can happen and we don’t want to risk staining a clothing item that you love.
